A new early variety for any type of soil bearing light green and dark green stripes. Very compact plants with an open habit thus ensuring a continuous fruit set. Resistant to a host of viruses too. Just 55 days to maturity.
Ready to go outside – they’d be good in a hanging basket because they will trail and flower all over the shop!
These are so prolific! They’re beginning to flower now.
A Greek recipe is to coat the flowers in a light tempura batter and deep fry them. Wow!!
Remember to pick them when they get to about 6-8 inches long or 16 -20 centimetres otherwise you might end up with giant marrows.
Try to water them at the roots rather than over the leaves. The leaves get a bit of powdery mildew otherwise. Harmless but not so pretty.
